Here’s a new castle-in-the-air goal. Have a newly discovered species named after a character in one of my stories.
Meet Eriovixia Gryffindori, the spider named after the Hogwarts Sorting Hat.
Discovered by Harry Potter geeks (and, as it happens, research scientists) in Western Ghat, a mountain range in south-west India. On a slightly more disturbing note, apparently they’re hanging out to find a species they can name after Aragog.
That is AWESOME. And a little weird. I love nature.
Isn’t it though? 🙂
Thank you, for featuring our discovery, on your blog!

No problem. Thank you for making science accessible and fun! Congratulations – I love it.
